ABOUT PETER BARLOW

Pete Barlow, M.Sc, P.Eng.(AB, BC) is a technical specialist with over 35 years of experience in the application of geotechnical engineering to the pipeline industry in Canada, the United States, South America, and Europe. He is a Director and Principal Geotechnical Engineer with BGC Engineering out of their Edmonton, Alberta office, where he has been actively engaged in different capacities with 30 pipeline clients in recent years. Pete is an expert in slope stability, pipe-soil interaction, geohazard management, trenchless technologies and particularly HDD. He is actively engaged in the development and application of new technologies in both geohazard management and HDD, including the launch of Drill Analytics, a specialized software tool that integrates geology and drilling data streams to support data driven decisions in HDD.
