ABOUT PAUL O. FLETCHER

I drive Medical Affairs publication delivery for a 7-asset global pipeline spanning oncology (CML, ALL, NSCLC, SCLC, solid tumors), hematologic malignancies, and hepatitis B at a global clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. My work sits at the intersection of science, strategy, and execution. On any given week, I\'m coordinating author reviews for a Lancet manuscript, managing abstract submissions across ASCO, EHA, ASH, and AACR, coordinating with KOLs on publication projects, supporting strategic communications aligned with commercial milestones, or building project management systems that keep cross-functional teams on the same page across global operations.Over 10+ years in scientific communications and medical affairs, I\'ve built a track record that includes driving a 7-fold increase in internally developed manuscript publications, managing 300+ cumulative publications (journal articles, congress presentations, and real-world evidence communications), and directing 40+ congress submissions and 10+ manuscripts annually. I\'ve established editorial infrastructure from the ground up—publication tracking databases, knowledge management systems, and the company\'s public scientific bibliography—with a focus on copyright compliance guidance and leveraging iEnvision to streamline author review workflows. Before moving into pharma, I spent three years as a Research Scientific Editor at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, where I supported clinical research investigators with manuscript editing, protocol development, and grant application support, along with journal submission facilitation. I developed clinical trial protocol templates to streamline investigator-initiated trial (IIT) design and provided editorial support for grant applications that secured approximately $10M in funding, including multi-PI grants for SPORE and CCSG.My earlier career included scientific writing across academic institutions in Germany, the UK, and Spain.I hold a PhD from the University of Heidelberg (magna cum laude), the ISMPP Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) credential, and AMWA Essential Skills certification. I\'m trilingual in English (native), Spanish, and Catalan.I\'m always interested in connecting with colleagues in medical affairs, scientific communications, and clinical research.
