A 14+ years’ accomplished Senior Research Scientist with expertise in HIV Neuropathogenesis, Cell and Molecular Biology, I have extensive experience mentoring cross-functional teams and managing multiple biomedical research projects from conception to execution on a timely, cost-effective basis. I have a reputation for innovative, disruptive research initiatives (11+ studies) that have generated $1M+ in research grants to date.My areas of interest are Project Management, Infectious Diseases, Clinical Biotechnology and Vaccine Development. I am well adept with T cell biology and have a strong understanding of the theory and techniques of immunology, genomics, protein and antibody production, cell-based functional assays, mammalian vector construction, targeted gene delivery, optimization of in vitro diagnostic assays, and the development of novel anti-viral molecules and therapeutic compounds.
