ABOUT PAULO DOS SANTOS

For more than two decades I have been working in the crop protection industry in a wide range of roles, mainly in R&D and marketing, holding positions of increasing scope and responsibility. Currently I am a Director of Asset Management Row Crops in Global Strategic Marketing Fungicides at BASF’s headquarter in Germany. With a background in cutting-edge enterprises, including BASF and Syngenta, and in an entrepreneurial generic company, namely Sipcam, I have built up in-depth knowledge of the agrochemical sector, business acumen, and customer-oriented relations. I have earned a PhD in plant pathology from São Paulo University; a master’s degree in plant breeding and a bachelor’s in agronomy from Lavras University. Further qualifications include: regional, country, and global experience; proven experience in multicultural environments; broad organizational perspective; strategic mindset; creativity; analytical; communication, and presentation skills.
