I’m a nerd doing what I love best, learning about aviation and sharing stories through articles, blogs, podcasts and videos. I’ve written books too, including the Official Illustrated History of Royal Air Force Search and Rescue.I’m lucky to also apply a career’s worth of specialist knowledge to creating website copy, working on rebranding efforts and editing websites for quality and consistency. I write lots of press releases too.It’s not important that you should know that I’m autistic, but it is important to me that you should know my particular flavour of autism means I significantly struggle to remember names and recognise faces. I realise you mean well but no, the fact you can remember faces but not names, names but not faces, or occasionally forget a face is not remotely like the all-consuming panic of walking into a room of strangers every single time, or realising the person talking to me knows me really well and I have absolutely no idea who they are.Usually I work from home, but when I’m working away I always wear bright socks. I’ll tell you why if you ask.
