ABOUT PAUL MCLIESH

Started in the Adelaide Nursing School in 2010. I am passionate about how the work of nurses is influenced (both positively & negatively) by the design & delivery of healthcare systems.My passion is innovation in healthcare that tesults in real world differences, approaching understanding from a systems thinking perspective. There is opportunity in healthcare to reframe what we value & measure, to unburden healthcare staff & give them back capacity to deliver care & make decisions using critical judgement. I am an Educational Specialist member of the College of Reviewers and Deputy Editor of the International Journal of Orthopaedic and Trauma Nursing.My PhD research focused on the complexity of patient assessment documentation that has potential to create a safety clutter that reduces nurses ability to deliver other elements of care.
