WORK HISTORY
Senior Project Manager (Contract) @Virgin Money
GB
As part of the Virgin Money Financial Crime Transformation team, I have managed three separate projects within the Bank’s transformation programme. These included a Customer Risk Assessment (CRA) project, a documentation project to re-write key FC procedures and a bank wide FC training project. This involved a) running a number of IT streams to modify systems to ensure on-boarding systems for all of the banks’ products met CRA requirements, b) managing an external SME team to research and re-write first line of defence (1LoD) procedures and c) managing an external SME team to design, build and deliver 10 courses (both face to face and via e-learning). Once again, these projects involved on-going co-ordination of a number of internal stakeholders and external vendors while keeping senior steering groups and executive management updated and used both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies. As a result of successful deliveries on all three projects, all of the Bank’s product on-boarding systems now meet the CRA regulatory requirements, 1LoD Procedures now meet regulatory standards and training (certified by the International Compliance Association) has been delivered to people. All of these efforts significantly improved Virgin Money’s financial crime regulatory position.
