A Coastal Ecologist within the Coastal and Climate Adaptation Group at EA, my role has revolved on developing nature based coastal solutions to solve the increasing problems surrounding climate change.•Lead Ecologist for Living Shoreline and Thin Layer Placement design project of Nature-Based Solutions.•Led field sampling and biological surveys including stormwater and groundwater well monitoring, tide gauge sensor installation and tracking, vegetation surveys, benthic monitoring, and invertebrate surveying.•Experienced in gill netting, seining, trawling, and shellfish monitoring including crab traps. As well, led field work involving the installation of pressure transducers for erosion and tidal monitoring.•Trained in stream modeling with a laser level, stream structure and habitat assessments, restored wetland and stream monitoring, and planning for river, wetland, and marsh restoration. •Experienced in vibracoring, sonic drilling, and the use of a ponar for sediment collection. Processed samples for various analyses including chemical, geotechnical, and grain size. •Completed water sampling with the use of a monsoon pump on various sizes of vessels at various field locations including sites with expected contaminated samples. •Contributed to wetland delineations and numerous coastal restoration projects working towards improving nature-based solutions and shoreline recovery in coastal ecosystems by many methods including beneficial use dredged material.
