ABOUT DAVID LEE HASKINS
I am a Research Scientist with EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc, PBC. I have a wide range of experiences in the academic, federal, and private sector. I completed my PhD in the University of Georgia\'s Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program. My home bases were UGA\'s Warnell School and Forestry and the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory. I moved on to Purdue University to work as a Postdoc that focused on the impacts of PFAS-free substances on a variety of wildlife species. I then completed a Postdoc with the U.S. Geological Survey that examined the potential impacts of PFAS exposure on American kestrels, osprey, and diamondback terrapin. I have a wide assortment of wildlife-focused field and laboratory experiences including: Population surveys of reintroduced American marten prey for manangement and conservation, behavior ecology, metabolic characterization of herpetofauna in the southeast, ecotoxicology, and wildlife husbandry. I am mostly interested in physiological traits of herpetofauna, and how we can use these traits to mitigate detrimental effects of anthropocentric activities on wildlife - especially amphibian and reptile populations.
