This position is responsible for all aspects of internal, 3rd party audits & external audit with UKAS ISO 17025, 17065 & ISO 17020; Writing and following-up on corrective actions; and indirectly overseeing Quality Supervisors and the quality improvement initiatives at the regional level.Key Accountabilities:• Participate as an active member of the Quality Advisory Board for Intertek (Approved Body/Notified Body). • To act as a source of technical expertise across a range of standards and be technically proficient with multiple product testing and certification (CE, UKCA, UKNI, ASTA, BEAB, ATEX, ONR, CPR-BCP, GSOC, GLP & OSHA etc.)• Develop standard operating procedures, work instructions, forms, and local operating procedures. • Manage all aspects of audits including- Report audit findings to appropriate management with a request for root cause analysis and corrective action- Review and approve root cause and correction action plan. Perform follow-up as needed- Close out audits and maintain audit files by submitting corrective action to UKAS- Monitor, coordinate, report, and close out internal and external complaints. • Represent Intertek during 3rd part audits/assessments. • To chair and participate in periodic quality system management reviews and close-out items.• To act as an expert within UKCA Regulations / EU Directive and relevant National regulations and working knowledge of the “Guide to the implementation of EU Directives - Global Approach” (Blue Book), UKAS GEN 5, E/A 2017 and relating documents• Investigate any changes to Regulations / Directive(s) and prepare Intertek UK for accreditation audit(s)• To conduct both Internal/Technical Audits in accordance with Directive(s), National regulations and in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025/17065 and internal procedures• Review and sign off the flexible scope and Scope extension applications to UKAS and IECEE etc.
