ABOUT PAOLA ALVARADO

As a recent graduate from SDSU, I am enthusiastic and dedicated to the hospitality industry. I am bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish, and I strive to provide outstanding guest experiences. With a focus on Events and Meetings during my hospitality studies, I’ve discovered my strong passion for connecting with people and facilitating memorable gatherings. I eagerly anticipate the opportunities ahead in the hospitality and tourism sectors.Pursuing a degree in hospitality has deepened my appreciation for the industry, particularly in events and meetings. I\'ve learned the importance of creating personal connections and unforgettable experiences for guests. As I transition into my career, I am excited to apply the skills I\'ve acquired at SDSU to make a positive impact in the hospitality and tourism industry.I have gained experienced in my time as a Guest Service Representative employed at Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown San Diego, transitioning from DoubleTree by Hilton. I have a strong background in front office operations and excellent communication skills, further enhanced by my role as a Teaching Assistant for the Intro to Hospitality course at SDSU. Additionally, I spent over five years in various positions, including party planning and guest services, where I honed my problem-solving abilities and ability to create memorable experiences for clients.
