Taught and co-taught in a general education setting with regular, SPED, ESL/ELL and diverse student populations.Developed curriculum using Common Core, state, professional and International Baccalaureate standards integrating technology, tactile experiences and social service to engage and connect learning.Used data to inform and make curriculum and instructional decisions and developed teaching practice using relevant research and best practices. Literacy case study on multi-age (K and 5) cooperative learning with Northeastern Illinois University.Lead and collaborated with teacher committees to build a professional learning community and acted as liaison between school and community organizations to develop and maintain relationships. Wrote grants and fundraised for science literacy, mathematics, technology, supplies and study trips.Roles included Chicago City Science Fair teacher sponsor with one bronze and one recognized project, Chicago Math and Science Initiative lead teacher, ComEd Science Fair Engineer in the Classroom Program, Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum Grant recipient, Museum of Science and Industry Professional Learning Community.
