ABOUT OUSAINOU GAYE

He holds a bachelor\'s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of The Gambia and a master\'s degree in European Economics and Business Law from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy. A first-generation university student, his master’s thesis focused on Africa–EU economic and climate cooperation, with particular emphasis on The Gambia—demonstrating a strong interest in research that links economic policy with sustainable development. With a multidisciplinary background, he combines expertise in economics with a passion for strategic communication, content creation, and public engagement. He has led national advocacy campaigns on FGM, education, and girls’ rights—mentoring over 300 children through initiatives like Kids Got Talent in collaboration with UNICEF. These experiences highlight his ability to translate complex issues into accessible content that resonates with diverse audiences. He has also coordinated large-scale events reaching over in-person participants and online—developing communication materials, managing media partnerships, and securing sponsorships. His approach integrates research, storytelling, and visual content to support sustainability and education campaigns aligned with FAO’s Corporate Environmental Responsibility Strategy.
