ABOUT OMESH TICKOO
I build AI teams, systems, and strategies that go from research to production — and generate measurable business impact.Over 20 years, I\'ve led cross-geo teams delivering next-generation AI systems across the full stack: large language models, generative AI, agentic AI, edge AI, and hardware acceleration. My work has driven outcomes including $100M+ in annual savings through AI-powered industrial defect detection, a 50× improvement in AI workload stream density, and the development of open-source AI frameworks now used within TensorFlow and PyTorch communities worldwide. As Senior Director in Intel\'s Advanced Technology Group, I direct AI systems strategy and execution — from efficient LLM serving architectures/hardware and real-time hallucination detection, to RAG-based retrieval systems and responsible AI governance. I serve as a core member of Intel\'s Responsible AI Council and lead initiatives in model transparency, fairness, and explainable AI.I believe great AI outcomes start with great teams. I\'ve built research and engineering organizations from the ground up, mentored PhD students and start-up founders, directed a $1.5M/yr university research center spanning MIT, Oxford, UCLA, Duke, and KU Leuven, and served as Chair of the Semiconductor Research Corporation\'s AI Hardware initiative.Beyond the industry, I\'m an Adjunct Professor at Portland State University, co-author of \"Making Sense of Sensors\"(Springer, 2017), and hold 60+ patents and 60+ publications.I\'m passionate about the intersection of AI strategy, responsible deployment, and real-world impact — and I thrive at the boundary between cutting-edge research and scalable production systems.Let\'s connect if you\'re working on the future of AI systems, enterprise AI platforms, or responsible AI governance.
