Within 3 months of commencing the role, I improved the ‘Procure to Pay’ process and reduced the number of invoices queried from accounts to 5% by updating of supplier prices. Prompt payment was achieved by ensuring POs are correctly raised and booked.I am also responsible for ordering parts for stock, PDI, engineers, customers, account managers, and project team. I also follow up backorders and update all stake holders on ETA. Also understanding suppliers lead time; I can plan stocking to ensure availability.On this role I am responsible for improving turnaround time for both internal and external customers. I increased uptime from 40% to 90% by using data to determine stockholding, setting reorder levels and safety stock. I also monitor engineer van stock to replenish based on their usage and fleet they manage.Further to this, I set up a process to ensure high non-stock parts are reviewed by the technical team before ordering. This reduced the rate of incorrect part ordering and saved cost as components were ordered instead of complete assembly. I also raise quotations at company set margins to ensure profitability.For successful warranty returns, I have a clear understanding of warranty process of each supplier and ensure compliance. This reduced warranty rejection rate to 2%. I also follow through to ensure credit notes are received.Through sourcing for alternative suppliers and price comparison, I was able to increase stockholding by placing bulk orders which reduced total cost of ownership by 20%. I also negotiated that restocking fee be waived for non-stock items for us to return items ordered not consumed.I am also responsible for supplier onboarding, supplier audit to ensure compliance, product availability, delivery, and performance measures. I liaise with different stakeholders including project managers, field service team and operations team on their requirements, changes, and cost saving opportunities within the supply chain.
