ABOUT OLIVER STOCKFORD
I am a motivational and adaptable Senior Operations Manager/Project Delivery Manager, with vast experience managing complex operations and leading a large workforce. My previous role at AMS involved managing a large team, including specialist and other managers, here I utilised my experience and Project Management training to re-structure systems and processes, whilst ensuring that current and future operations and programs were aligned with the business’ strategic aims and met regulatory requirements. I am comfortable developing beneficial relationships with contractors and stakeholders and have in-depth experience with all the differing aspects of large-scale management, including; budgeting, man-management, resource management and Health and Safety. I adopt a flexible and adaptable approach to challenges and have a wealth of readily transferable management and business improvement skills. I make use of my interpersonal and negotiation skills on a daily basis and I consider a real strength to be assessing existing works and processes and making changes that result in improved efficiency and cost savings. I also value developing a workforce to take care and pride in their work and strongly believe in acknowledging the contributions made by individuals within a team. My personal maxim is to strive for excellence and I strongly believe in leading by example. I am fortunate to have developed a broad range of operational management skills. I am sharing my knowledge and experience as a co-opted (volunteer) governor for Bettridge school which is a community special school based in Cheltenham. They provide an individualised, creative and exciting learning pathway for pupils between the ages of 2 and 19 within a safe and supportive environment.
