Employee-owned business leader with a methodical leadership style, that is said to be people-focused and results-driven. According to my psychometric profiling I am a coordinator, which is demonstrated by my ‘dependable, supportive and objective approach and strong value system’. I set myself very high standards and my key motivators are based on the pursuit of expertise and competency in my role. I’m also a searcher and I find greatest fulfilment in work that contributes to a greater purpose, such as the continuing success of DustScanAQ. In my MD role my main focus is on business management, development and strategy which includes preparing and implementing our company Business Plan.I\'m a Chartered Scientist with over 18 years experience in the environmental sector. My career has mainly focussed on passive and filter-reference dust monitoring techniques and the characterisation and assessment of fine particulate matter both in ambient air and workplace/indoor atmospheres. In recent years I\'ve specialised more in indoor air quality (IAQ) and occupational aerosol assessment. I am a member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) Air Quality Working Group and was a member of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) IAQ Working Group, and co-author of their IAQ Guidance. I am very passionate about the environment, the ocean and marine life in particular; in April 2019 I was elected to the Institute of Environmental Sciences (IES) council and board of trustees to help build their community for marine science professionals.
