Represent the SBA and its management officials in labor and employment litigation before various forums including the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), Office of Special Counsel (OSC), Department of Labor (DOL), as well as before independent arbitrators •Litigate a wide spectrum of labor and employment cases from the initial complaint/grievance filing to all phases of discovery through the hearing and appellate stages •Perform all aspects of hearing procedures including opening statements, witness examinations, and oral/written closing arguments •Negotiate with union on various matters including grievance resolution, arbitration hearings, collective bargaining, and policy implementation •Current member of the SBA’s management team that negotiated a new collective bargaining agreement•Current member of the SBA’s collective bargaining management team that has appeared before FLRA mediators and Federal Service Impasses Panel (FSIP) to resolve negotiation impasses•Negotiate settlement agreements in various types of litigation matters including, but not limited to, EEOC, MSPB, DOL, FLRA, OSC and grievance arbitrations •Provide advice and counsel to SBA program offices and management regarding proposed policy, proposing new policy language, and leading training presentations concerning policy guidance and implementation•Collaborate with management officials and human resources personnel in reviewing and issuing proposed employee disciplinary actions•Extensive writing experience drafting several types of legal documents including but not limited to motions to dismiss, motions to compel, motions for sanctions, motions for summary judgment, closing arguments, appellate briefs, and various unique written filings in response to judicial orders•Led internal investigations of Agency programs and management in order to address various labor grievances and employment matters

In my spare time, I seek to build upon my passion for all things sports by gaining knowledge and experience in various sports-related areas including union/labor matters (especially collective bargaining), salary arbitration, full-spectrum player representation, and NCAA compliance. Additionally, I love mentoring and working with high school and college students to help provide whatever guidance and assistance I can to make their personal goals more accessible and attainable.
