The Senior Director Africa Program Operations will provide leadership and oversight to Heifer Africa’s Programs Operations to ensure operational excellence and empowerment of country programs resulting in programmatic excellence and impact. S/he will have strong collaboration and support for the Region’s Signature Program leadership to ensure process alignment across all countries, towards delivering Heifer’s goal of bringing 10 million small holder farmers to sustainable living income by 2030.The Senior Director Africa Program Operations will lead Heifer Africa’s Process pillar; mentoring and assisting countries to address operational capacity needs. S/he will ensure and improve accountability across the Africa Region in collaboration with Africa Regional Team, country team leaders, and other stakeholders. S/he will empower country programs in strategic budgeting and reforecasting. S/he will ensure that monitoring, evaluation, and learning is done for all Signature programs and projects within Heifer’s standards and systems. S/he will lead and collaborate with the Africa regional, country program teams, and other stakeholders to manage and respond to risks across the Africa region.This position is responsible for building internal and external relationships to ensure strong delivery of programs within time, scope, and budget. The position will work closely with the Africa Regional team and support teams as a liaison between relevant Heifer International departments and the field. The position supports the work of other regional staff and support teams to create strong regional system while achieving operational excellence. The Senior Director Africa Program Operations will report to the Senior Vice President – Africa Programs.
