ABOUT NICK MCDOWELL

I am an experienced commercial leader with a history of success in taking organisations through change and on to sustainable growth. My education focused on Marketing but my career began in field sales and progressed through sales management to commercial leadership.I have sold hardware in Ireland, mining and construction equipment equipment in Latin America, software in USA and medical devices around the world. My career spanning a wide range of sectors and products has taught me that a fundamentally sound sales process and the ability of an organisation to listen to and connect with its customers is vital.In 2001 I left a successful corporate role to join a great group of business professionals and create a construction equipment rental start-up. We built that business to generate over £10m revenue and employee more than 100 people across Southern California and into Northern Mexico. The business was sold to Volvo Construction Equipment in 2012.My experience in building and leading a team and a business led me to focus more on leadership, financial management and strategic planning and execution as MD of 4Beauty Group. In 2017 I left one great team to join the ambitious and fast-paced commercial team at Eakin. I\'m focused on driving profitable customer satisfaction and I continue to believe that a Sales and Marketing team working creatively, efficiently and in tandem is the key.
