As an SDE-1 at the Control Development Center, I am contributing to the design and development of intelligent systems for industrial automation, smart monitoring, and robotics integration.Key Responsibilities & Contributions:• Designing software pipelines for real-time data acquisition and control using LiDARs, thermal sensors, and metal detectors • Developing modular, scalable applications for industrial operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and visualization • Implementing ROS-based architectures for robotic data flow, path planning, and environmental awareness • Integrating SCADA systems with field devices and custom control interfaces using protocols like MQTT and OPC UA • Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams in automation, embedded systems, and mechanical design • Participating in the testing, simulation, and deployment of intelligent inspection and monitoring systems • Applying best practices in software engineering, including version control (Git), modular design, and continuous testing Technologies Used:Python, C++, ROS, MQTT, SCADA (WinCC), OPC UA, LiDAR, AutoCAD/Fusion 360, Linux (Ubuntu), Embedded Systems, Data VisualizationThis role allows me to apply my research-driven mindset and development experience to solve real-world industrial problems while supporting the mission of CDC to create future-ready, smart automation solutions.
