ABOUT NINA REYES
I build trust at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and complex narratives. As a strategic communications executive with 9+ years leading PR for high-growth AI, biotech, and health tech companies, I translate complex technologies into compelling stories that drive business outcomes, secure tier-1 media coverage, and prepare executives for their highest-stakes moments. I have built communications teams from 0 to 1 and thrive in start-up and high growth environments. Why I\'m Different: I\'m a former scientist. I spent years in the lab turning microalgae into oil for renewable materials before transitioning to communications. That technical foundation means I don\'t just translate complex concepts, I am energized by them. I enjoy reading research papers and sifting through data, grasp technical nuances, and turn those ideas into narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. What Drives Me: I believe the most transformative technologies require the most thoughtful and vulnerable communication. Whether it\'s AI that democratize software development, biotech that addresses climate change, or health tech that saves lives, I\'m drawn to work where innovation serves humanity. I build trust, not just buzz-Outside of work: I passionately pursue opportunities to engage with and support organizations that align with my vision of an inclusive global community. I am dedicated to fostering environments where everyone has the chance to thrive and realize their full human potential. Since 2011, I have been a volunteer of Make A Difference Now, a global nonprofit whose mission is to provide quality education to disadvantaged children and youth so they have the tools to become self-sufficient, contributing citizens of the world, working with students from Tanzania and India. In 2013, I climbed Kilimanjaro as a fundraiser for the children’s education. Currently, I serve as an advisor to Make A Difference\'s Board. Locally, I volunteer with Satellite Affordable Housing Associates, at an after-school program in west Oakland and as an elder friend with Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly.
