ABOUT NINA JOSHI
Seeker, incubator, scientist, and leader are just a few of the many titles that describe Dr. Nina Joshi. The President and Chief Executive Officer of UES, Inc, Nina is one of the most diverse, accomplished, and impactful leaders in the greater Dayton, Ohio area. For over 15 years, Nina has excelled in leading scientific research and technology development, as well as in process and technology business integration and management for a variety of federal, public, and private industries. Nina has maintained UES’ core competencies in Materials and Processes, Surface Engineering, and Aerospace Power and Propulsion Technologies, while expanding into the growing fields of Biological and Nanoscale Technologies, Photonic and Electronic Technologies, and Additive Manufacturing. She also devotes resources and expertise to the development and commercialization of UES’ high-tech products and services.Under Nina’s leadership, UES’ revenue has quadrupled. She has used her skills as a scientist, communicator, and team builder to lead UES by distilling the key elements required to develop linkages between strategy and practical execution. From the beginning of her career until the present day, Nina has understood that talented teams are essential to solve complex problems and she has become an expert at finding and leading the right talent to help accomplish any goal.Further, Nina embraces responsibility for developing business opportunities and managing client-executive relationships for the entire portfolio of UES. Nina and her leadership team have executed multiple contracts supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army, the Department of Energy, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institute of Health. She has also guided UES to achieve a broader business reach by working with industry partners such as General Electric, Rolls Royce, Pratt and Whitney, Honda, Fiat-Chrysler, Nissan, SKF AeroEngines, Apple, St. Gobain, and Arconic.Nina received her Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in Molecular Toxicology and Master of Public Health from Tulane University. Along with her role as CEO, Nina currently serves on the board at Wright Brothers Institute and is a member of the Air Force Association, Dayton Development Coalition, and the Materials Research Society. She is a strong supporter of education and the Beavercreek community, as well as many charities in the area, including Beavercreek Wetlands, Feed the Creek and the local Lego teams. A native of Dayton, Nina resides in Xenia with her husband and two children.
