ABOUT MATS NILSON

I\'ve been fortunate to work in four countries across Europe and Asia, facilitating regional and global teams leveraging and developing advanced analytics platforms. As an AI Product Owner in Maersk, I am leading ideation, architectural design, algorithmic modeling and lifecycle management of key AI products. In addition, I am advising headquarter teams on AI solutions for their workflows, and tech organization on capability formation and roadmaps. My data-centric approach is derived from extensive prior experience as an architect of multi-source and multi-cloud data pipelines, integrating complex models of domain and supply chain performance for executive decision-making. I learned my AI craft while synthesizing product management and data science in Silicon Valley\'s Ad Tech cluster, optimizing Machine Learning algorithms competing under an Enterprise SaaS value proposition. Hence I am well rooted in model fine-tuning, analytics evaluation and data story telling. Pursuing Japan\'s top M.B.A. directly for distinguished Professors Ikujiro Nonaka and Hirotaka Takeuchi - the grandfathers of Scrum - placed me on the track of agile methodology early on, which I am leveraging today while driving large-scale tech developments hands-on with global engineering teams. My career has had me in Stockholm, in Bangalore, and for over 10 years in Tokyo before current Hamburg, Germany. I speak English, Swedish, German and Japanese.
