A Chartered Engineer with over 35 years of experience working in professional high quality and reliability electronic equipment manufacturing, and project management of new products and processes. Retired from full-time employment but available for part-time freelance consultancy roles. I also run a monthly charity music event as a volunteer for my local hospice.Acknowledged and respected knowledge of, and a wide range of experience in, all related automated electronic PCB and box-build assembly and test processes and their impact on new product design and development and ongoing manufacturing quality.Well known in the industry with an excellent network of contacts. I am an active member of the industry advisory body, SMTA Europe, as a member of the Steering Committee and previously chair of its Technical Committee. I am also employed as an advisor on environmental regulatory matters to the International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers as a member of their Technical Task Group. Also previously Chair of the UK government-industry liaison body the ElectroTechnical Regulatory Group and now a member of the UK government\'s Office for Product Safety & Standards Business Reference Panel which I attend representing IABM.Specialties: Particularly recognised for expertise in practical and pragmatic advice in meeting the requirements of applicable environmental regulations, such as RoHS, EUP and REACH and currently advising the membership of the IABM on regulatory matters. I have also completed IOSH and IEMA training on wider environmental management responsibilities.
