ABOUT NICOLÒ CACOCCIOLA

Ph.D. in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering with extensive multidisciplinary expertise spanning micro- and nanotechnology, semiconductor physics, condensed matter, and experimental physics. Currently employed at VISHAY Intertechnology as a Manufacturing and Test Engineer, where I manage and coordinate key projects for the implementation of new SiC technologies, oversee production and testing processes, and contribute to process optimization and technology transfer.I have a solid foundation in digital and analog electronics, optoelectronics, semiconductor devices, and telecommunications, complemented by practical experience in cleanroom fabrication, organ-on-a-chip systems, and MEMS devices. I am highly proficient in Arduino-based hardware development, Python and Matlab programming, and Finite Element Modeling (FEM) for simulation and design validation.My work combines scientific rigor and practical engineering, allowing me to bridge the gap between research and industrial production. I have experience in mentoring Ph.D. and MSc students, leading small teams, and coordinating cross-functional projects to deliver results under tight timelines. I am familiar with statistical data analysis, process characterization, and testing methodology design, ensuring high-quality manufacturing outcomes.I am passionate about innovative technology development, micro- and nano-scale device engineering, and translating complex scientific concepts into scalable industrial solutions.
