Working in Global R&D I lead a team responsible for scaling up and implementing R&D projects across Heidelberg Materials\' operational units. Reporting directly to the Area Director, my role focuses on supporting business cases and driving the adoption of innovations within the cement business line.• Facilitate the transfer of R&D project knowledge to operational units.• Pilot and validate new processes and products through technology trials.• Manage EU-funded projects in collaboration with universities and research institutes.• Promote the implementation of cutting-edge R&D projects and advanced methods to enhance efficiency and reduce the environmental footprint.• Train operational staff in systematic industrial testing and project management aimed at implementing new processes and technologies as well as new products• Safeguard intellectual property generated in key areas—co-author of 10 patents within the cement business line.• Disseminate knowledge to stakeholders through conferences and presentations.• Collaborate with standardization, marketing, and sales teams to facilitate the introduction of new products.• Oversee the department\'s budget allocated for collaboration with external partners.• Assess start-up development and give recommendations towards implementations in operational units.• Efficiently allocate team resources to meet project deadlines.• Set performance expectations and monitor progress towards achieving goals.
