ABOUT NICK WILKINSON
I have worked on many different IT projects over the last 25+ years, starting with a background in systems administration, continuing on to design and develop solutions in retail and investment banking, e-learning and asset management, and finally bringing all the skills together as a Solution Architect.I currently work in a hands-on Solution Architect role, defining the business architecture with the customer, delivering the technical design, and where the software choice is in-house/bespoke, leading the development of the solution.During the development phase, I favour regular brief collaboration between engineers, and find that this usually allows the group to skip a few iterations on the path to the best solution.My working philosophy is to use the most appropriate technologies available to meet a customer’s requirements and budget, whilst remaining focused on elegant design through sound component infrastructure. I believe business focus and customer understanding are crucial to a project’s success.TOGAF® Certified Enterprise Architect
