ABOUT NICK WRIGHT

I have a passion for science and technology, so it seemed natural that I would study Mechanical Engineering at university and (slightly less naturally!) go on to complete an Engineering Doctorate in ultrasonic welding of aluminium body panels. Following that I worked within R&D at Jaguar Land Rover, developed the galleys for the Airbus A350XWB at B/E Aerospace and delivered large and small scale technology and consulting projects for Accenture. For the last 5 years I have been building an industrial practice at Digital Catapult, where we are supporting industry to innovate with digital technology, to prove out the benefits and develop the use cases such that ultimately result in adoption of technology and impact for a wide range of stakeholders in the UK. As fascinated as I am by engineering, science and technology, I live in Kent with my wife Joss, and my daughter Lily and also have a range of interests outside of work. I love pretty much all sports, being a keen golfer, a cyclist, a specialist in pub sports, big Leeds United supporter and a follower of pretty much everything sport related. As well as sport, I love a bit of cooking, including barbecue and pizzas, drinking unique and interesting beers and continually attempting DIY jobs on our house.
