ABOUT NICHOLAS FAIN

I attended the U.S. Coast Guard Academy where I received a Bachelor\'s Degree in Government with a focus on International Relations. Upon graduation from Academy, I received an officer\'s Commission as an Ensign and was stationed for 2 years as a Deck Watch Officer on board the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter SHERMAN in San Diego CA. My day to day duties included safe navigation of the ship as well as the maintenance of the ship\'s weapon systems. In 2014, was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior-Grade and stationed at the U.S. Coast Guard Intelligence Coordination Center at the Office of Naval Intelligence in Suitland MD as an Intelligence Analyst; possessed a TOP SECRET (TS//SCI) security clearance for daily performance of duties. In 2017, I was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and stationed at the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Columbia River in Warrenton OR as the unit Intelligence Chief. In 2020 I was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Coast Guard. After retiring from the military I attended graduate school at Indiana University, graduating with a Masters Degree in Public Affairs in May of 2023. From August-December 2023 I interned in the office of Representative Erin Houchin of Indiana’s 9th Congressional District. I am currently interning for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on House Administration.
