ABOUT NEIL TUCKER

I am an experienced aerospace programme manager, with 27 years of experience in the aerospace industryI currently work for Collins Aerospace, managing the SWITCH programme. Prior to this I was the project manager for the SWITCH 1MW electric motor. Prior to Collins Aerospace, I worked at Meggitt Aerospace for 24 years. Lastly as Central Programme Manager for all Meggitt global AR & T projects. This involved strategic funding allocations, project health monitoring (Earned Value SPI CPI), budget monitoring, and reporting at board level. Prior to the Central Programme Manager position I worked in Meggitt in Applied Research and Technology. I was a Project Manager who develops Thermal Management Systems (TMS) for Aero Engines for the future.Before the AR & T Position in Meggitt I was a Programmes & Project Manager responsible for delivering aero engine pneumatic valve programmes from cradle to grave.I started my aerospace career as a mechanical and electrical design engineer for Meggitt Ice Protection Systems, then was promoted to Senior Design Engineer, then Project Engineer, then Senior Project EngineerI have managed research projects as part of my current role and last role, where I have developed new technology to TRL6.
