ABOUT NEHA GHOTANE
Passionate, inquisitive and courteous are the three words that describe my personality. A voracious reader and a rational thinker since my early childhood has made me what I am today. To support my passions, I joined IIM Bangalore to pursue a management degree for understanding the business perspective of technology.I experienced technological aspect of business while working with Reliance Industries Ltd. as an Energy Manager after pursuing Chemical Engineering from UDCT, Mumbai. My job involved optimising usage of power, steam and fuel and finding new opportunities of production cost and improving carbon credits. I recommended and implemented savings equivalent to average annual salaries of 30 chemical engineers. My leadership and analytical skills made me contribute my bit to the biggest conglomerate of India and moreover to a sustainable future.I enjoy dancing and painting. I have commercialized painting business which include wall painting, bottle painting and canvas painting. This is soon going to be a start-up.While at IIM B, Sales & Marketing courses interested me and I opted for an internship in the similar domain. I worked with Asian Paints Ltd. to increase the engagement of educational institutes by understanding the painting behaviour. The inquisitive quality helped me understand the consumer psychology and therefore develop sales and branding strategies. I practice the thought by Albert Einstein, ‘Strive not to be a success but rather to be a value’. My interest in S&M courses has elevated post internship and I am preparing myself to be an able marketer to see myself as a brand manager 5 years down the line.
