Both as a practicing Pediatrician and as a Founder of a medical apparel company Jaanuu Dr. Neela loves touching the hearts and lives of others. Through her years as a Pediatrician, Dr. Neela has been regularly featured on TV as ABC Television’s and CBS Television’s medical correspondent. She is most passionate about Teen Mental Health, striving to raise awareness and offer support to both teens and parents. Dr. Neela was born and raised in Palos Verdes, California. She attended the University of California at Los Angeles for her undergraduate training, and graduated both Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a major in Psychobiology. She stayed a loyal Bruin and continued at UCLA Medical School, where she graduated with Honors. She completed her residency in Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Through the years, Dr. Neela has devoted her spare time towards supporting kids with terminal diseases as a volunteer at Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times and has traveled to hospitals attending to the underprivileged around the world to offer a helping hand. Dr. Neela is married to her med school sweetheart.
