In my role as a Senior Finance Analyst at Jones Lang LaSalle, I have had the opportunity to manage various aspects of accounts receivable (AR) processes. This position involved responsibility for downloading and allocating daily collections from cheques, ACHs, and wires. Managing these processes across the EMEA region required not only strict adherence to timelines but also agility in communication with various stakeholders. I led conversations with country-based managers to ensure alignment on collection targets and resolution of outstanding invoices. My experience in reviewing and approving contracts in the PeopleSoft system further honed my analytical skills as I needed to validate the terms and conditions against the AR records. This experience has equipped me with a strong understanding of financial analysis within the context of cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting. I have created weekly AR aging reports that helped senior management make informed decisions, thus demonstrating my ability to produce insights based on financial data. I believe that these skills and experiences will enable me to add value to the financial analyst role by ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and the ability to strategically influence financial decision-making in the organization.
