ABOUT NATHAN KOPP

Nathan Kopp is a seasoned sports executive with a diverse background in the industry spanning the last 15 years. He currently serves as the Vice President of Sports San Diego, where he has been instrumental in creating the Sports San Diego brand, overseeing efforts to attract significant events that drive economic impact, and securing substantial grants for the organization. Under his leadership, Sports San Diego has successfully hosted more than 60 new events, including international and world championships, resulting in more than $300 million in economic impact and driving over hotel room nights for the community. Nathan\'s strategic vision also led to a new membership program, a quarterly Speaker Series, and was responsible for the launch of the organization’s second owned & operated event, the Rady Children’s Invitational, which garnered national attention with a first-year sell-out and significant viewership on FOX.His career also includes roles at the San Diego Tourism Authority, Competitor Group, and the United States Olympic Committee, where he managed high-profile events and fostered key industry relationships. Nathan has been involved in organizing and overseeing logistics for over 500 major sporting events, including mulitple World Championships, Super Bowls, Sochi Winter Olympics & Paralympics. His extensive experience and dedication to the sports industry have made him a respected leader and innovator in his field.Nathan graduated with honors from Central Michigan University with a Master\'s Degree in Sport Administration.
