ABOUT NATHAN GIBSON

As Head of Communications at Ericsson Canada, I lead the strategy and execution of our internal and external communications, shaping public perception of Ericsson in Canada and maintaining a consistent brand voice.I’m Ericsson’s spokesperson for Canada, working across the business to support our customers, government partners and industry stakeholders.My role involves executive speech writing, announcements, media relations, internal storytelling and content for social media – to communicate Ericsson’s technology leadership in 5G, 6G, telco AI and quantum innovation and R&D.I’m a journalist at heart. I began my career as a reporter, where I discovered my love of storytelling. I’m fortunate that my role today still enables me to indulge my passion for people and storytelling - I get to work with good people and help our Ericsson leadership to communicate and engage with impact.I consider myself something of a veteran of Canadian telecoms, having spent almost 15 years immersed in the industry with roles at Rogers Communications, Bell MTS and Bell, before joining Ericsson. I’m also involved in several industry groups and committees, including representing Ericsson Canada’s President on the Canadian Telecommunications Association (CTA) board.In my spare time you’ll find me in the great outdoors – fishing, hiking, playing hockey or squash, and spending time with my young family.If you’re in Canadian telecoms, communications, PR or storytelling I would love to connect.
