ABOUT NATHAN D. HARRIS

Experienced Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the civil engineering industry. Skilled in AutoCAD, Budgeting, Surveying, and Construction. I am a strong program and project management professional with a BSCE, BSLSGE and MSCE focused in Civil Engineering & Land Surveying from Purdue University. Presently I am privileged to hold the position of Development Services Manager at Duke Realty, the nations largest purely domestic industrial Real Estate Investment Trust. At Duke I get to collaborate with a robust team of results-driven associates. My past role as an engineering consultant made for a natural transition into the management of site development, planning and entitlements for Duke\'s Indianapolis and Cincinnati markets. My responsibilities in these markets include spearheading site feasibility/layouts, land acquisition due diligence, entitlements, building acquisition/disposition assistance, design/construction pricing support and overseeing design consultants. I help to ensure that Duke\'s interests are protected and the risks are mitigated as an industrial development comes to life. Prior to working at Duke Realty I served as Operations Manager for the Survey Group at American Structurepoint, Inc. a full service, nationwide consulting firm based in Indianapolis, IN. The staff of 400+ professionals went full throttle to deliver excellence with every project. We specialized in delivering innovation and vision from concept to completion. Our approach was hands-on, fueled by open communication and collaboration with our clients. My areas of expertise include coordinating with clients for pre-development services including boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Surveys, topographic and quantity Surveys, FEMA elevation certifications and LOMA surveys, route and utility surveys, right-of-way acquisition services, archeological and construction layout. While in college I studied both Civil Engineering and Land Surveying. I was fortunate enough to have internships that offered me experience in the areas of construction, design and land surveying. I ultimately chose to focus my professional efforts on developing my skills as a Land Surveyor because I was drawn to the project diversity, technological advances and the fast-paced nature of the business. Since entering the industry full-time in 2009 I have progressed quickly from an entry level field position, to a GIS Coordinator, to a Project Surveyor and eventually to a Project Manager. During that time I was able to become a Licensed Land Surveyor in both Indiana and Texas.
