First security hire working directly with the CISO and senior leadership to mature the organization\'s security program across all verticals.(Governance, Education & Awareness, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Security Engineering/Architect, Security Operations, etc.) Responsible for helping drive security changes across the organization by introducing and maintaining key security controls and fostering a strong security culture of awareness and compliance. Accomplishment: Develop operational and strategic roadmaps/project plans for implementing new security tools such as Palo Alto Cortex XDR, Prisma Cloud, Bishop Fox Cosmos and Proofpoint. Lead the deployment, tuning, operation, and maintenance of our entire security stack. Leveraged security tools and telemetry to significantly drive down security-related tech debt by working with senior leadership and engineers across multiple teams.• Examine and evaluate the organization’s security posture across various security domains from an engineering and operational perspective and provide pertinent recommendations for improvement.• Ensure the operational effectiveness of our security configurations, tools, and controls by reviewing, validating, and providing senior management with meaningful metrics and visibility.• Lead the effort in designing, building, and operationalizing the threat intelligence program to effectively protect against and respond to known and emerging security threats.• Effectively partner with senior management, engineers, and key stakeholders to coordinate the execution and/or optimization of new and existing security controls and also track and remediate system and software vulnerabilities.• Successfully respond to and lead security incidents by conducting thorough investigations and implementing proactive security measures to prevent future occurrences.• Develop and provide weekly security-focused training to all new hires and monthly security training for current employees.
