ABOUT NATASHA UPPAL

Committed to building a world where all mothers feel empowered and supported and all children receive nurturing and responsive care, irrespective of their socio-economic status. I have over 15 years of professional and volunteer experience in the social impact sector in rural and urban India and the United States. During this time, I have designed and managed projects in the field of education, gender, community development, and youth leadership across foundations, nonprofits, and multilateral organisations. I specialise in project management, operations, and strategy and enjoy working at the crossroads of policy and systems strengthening and community mobilisation and engagement. I completed my Master’s in Education, Gender, and International Development from the UCL Institute of Education, with a specialisation in Early Childhood Education. I was awarded the Chevening Scholarship by the UK Government to pursue my Masters and was selected as a Global Talent for SDG 4 (Education) at the UNLEASH Social Innovation Lab in Denmark. I am an alumna of the Atlas Corps Fellowship in Washington, DC and the StartingBloc Fellowship in Boston, MA. As an Early Years Fellow at the World Bank, I designed and implemented a preschool reform initiative in partnership with the Ministry of Education (MoE), reaching more than 4 million children in India.
