ABOUT NATALIE SCHIRMACHER
I am exploring the role of militarized masculinities in creating a culture that condones sexual violence within the US military at Tampere University, Finland. I previously conducted feminist research on the role of the United States military in using colonial, patriarchal language to invite violence towards Argentinian citizens. I graduated magna cum laude from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts in Global Interdisciplinary Studies (Latin American Studies) and Spanish, with a quadruple minor in Naval Science, Political Science, Arabic and Islamic Studies, and Peace and Justice A uniting force in my life is connecting disparate thoughts and pursuits.
