My responsibilities as a veterinary assistant include, but are not limited to, proper and safe restraint of animals during examinations/procedures, assisting with radiography and diagnostic imaging as well as preparation and maintenance of surgical suites and examination rooms, and ensuring sterility for procedures. As an assistant in the internal medicine department, I also have the opportunity to gain a proficiency in the use of speciality diagnostic tools such as endoscopes, CT scanners and fluoroscopy.
