ABOUT NATALIE HOKE
I’ve always believed that good communication is at the heart of any strong community. That belief is what pulled me into nonprofit marketing in the first place. These days, I get to bring that passion to my work at Palouse Habitat for Humanity, where I lead marketing and communications efforts that connect people with our mission of building homes, communities, and hope.As Communications Manager, I oversee everything from social media and email marketing to press releases, campaigns, and print materials. One of the most rewarding parts of the job is turning strategy into real impact. For example, I implemented SEO improvements that increased our website traffic by more than 150%. Seeing more people discover our work—and ultimately get involved—is the kind of result that makes the behind-the-scenes marketing work worth it.Before stepping into this role, I worked as the Marketing Coordinator, where I helped execute multi-channel campaigns to grow our visibility and community engagement. I love collaborating across teams and making sure our messaging stays consistent, no matter where people encounter us. My time as a Research Assistant at Washington State University also gave me a background in behavioral business research, which now helps me dig deeper into what actually makes campaigns effective. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me outside on a trail, experimenting with a new recipe, or falling down a rabbit hole reading about animal biology or psychology (academic interests that never really went away).I’m always excited to connect with organizations looking for thoughtful, data-informed marketing that strengthens communities. If you’re hiring or building a team focused on mission-driven work, I’d love to connect.
