I have worked on a number of different assignments during my time in IBM. On one project, I led a global team to the successful delivery of a complex IT infrastructure, cloud and software development project. More recent highlights include the successful, on time and on budget delivery of a Bluemix VPN project and a £250k+ infrastructure project for a public sector client.Accomplishments:• Managing multiple projects and multiple distributed project teams in a fast paced environment• The successful end to end delivery of a number of projects, including server upgrades and relocation of infrastructure projects• High efficiency time utilisation across multiple projects by means of discrete, gated solution planning to encompass discovery, definition, delivery, testing and go-live of projects• The co-ordination of local and distributed development teams, SMEs and third party suppliers• The management of project financials, milestone achievements and delivery objectives• Developing and maintaining successful working relationships with the client, senior stakeholders and third party contractors• The delivery of value beyond the scoped definition of the solutionI also had the opportunity to work with the IBM Agile coaches. I utilised this experience and knowledge in my projects by internalising some Agile ways of working. These includes: • Visualising the work - The use of Kanban walls to manage the progress of work• Working in an iterative manner – Breaking bigger problems down into smaller tasks and taking the appropriate actions to start iteratively solving the challenges• Continuous Improvement - I constantly look for techniques to improve ways of working and then proactively implement them• The use of Agile techniques to assist in planning, solutioning and RAID brain storming sessions
