The sole focus was to build a channel exclusively which would lead the distribution of Fibre Cement Boards in plywood counters.A secondary objective was to strengthen Northern Sri Lankan Operations for the roofing business.Around Oct 2020, transitioned into the core role of VP Marketing - India ( Building Materials).Primarily an 800 Crore business, with dealers, catered by 10 plants across India.The challenge in the operations was following # Global pandemic leading to the raw material cost increase.# Need to expand distribution and nonprofitable exit markets.Actions :# Building data model which helped guide \" Profit Per Metre\".# Building discount model structure.# Distribution outreach in profitable markets and curtailing in nonprofitable markets.Result:Strong double-digit CAGR growth in tonnage and top line. Sustained increase in the bottom line.
