ABOUT NADA AHMED
As an Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Resident at BronxCare Health System, I apply my PharmD degree and my skills in pharmacy therapeutics and patient counseling to provide optimal pharmacotherapy for patients with various infectious diseases. I also conduct research pertaining to antimicrobial stewardship, resistance, and pharmacokinetics, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and quality of care. Previously, I completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Downstate Health Sciences University, where I gained experience in various clinical settings, such as critical care, emergency medicine, and ambulatory care. I also worked as a Pharmacy Intern at Maimonides Medical Center for two years, where I assisted pharmacists with medication dispensing and compounding. I am passionate about advancing the field of infectious diseases pharmacy and contributing to the global health community.
