Current Role: Owner’s Machinery Engineer. Seconded to ExxonMobil for GCGV project. Worked at EPC office in Houston & Taiwan, Module fabrication yard in China and Construction site in Gregory, TX. Managed EPC contractors from FEED through EPC, Commissioning & Plant Start-up.• Over 18 years of experience as Machinery Engineer in EPC companies like Kellogg, Brown, and Root (KBR) Inc, ENI-Saipem SPA, and OEM/R&D companies like BS & B Process Systems. • Worked in engineering offices, module fabrication yards and OEM facilities. Projects include LNG, Power generation, Gas processing, Refinery, Petrochemical, Ethylene, and Ammonia projects. • SME level role in KBR Mechanical department, include providing training and mentoring young engineers. • Part of KBR LNG Technology Team with over 10 years of work experience in LNG projects: o Coordinate with business development groups to develop marketing tools & sales presentation slides.o Worked closely and maintained good professional relationship with client CXOs, Directors, Project managers, Licensors and OEMs. o Conducted extensive technology qualification studies on emerging aero-derivative aviation gas turbines for use as mechanical drivers in LNG plants: LMS100PB, TRENT 60, and H100.o Performed driver comparison studies and NPV analysis on compressor drivers for large LNG projects. Compressor drivers include traditional industrial ‘Frame’ types to latest aero-derivative gas turbines, steam turbines and large electric motors (E-LNG).o Responsible for identifying new equipment and emerging technologies in the market that improves plant efficiency, availability, and reduce carbon emission.o Evaluated high value machinery packages like MR/PR trains, Booster Compressor, BOG compressors, Cryogenic pumps, Cryogenic hydraulic expanders and NGL Expander-Recompressor.o Successfully conducted performance testing & troubleshooting of LNG trains at SKIKDA plant in Algeria.o Excellent process knowledge on various LNG liquefaction technologies: APCI C3MR, APCI SMR, CHART SMR and Shell DMR. Pros & Cons of each technologies and impact of machinery selection on plant efficiency. • Expert level experience in conducting HAZOP, FMEA, RCA, NPSH analysis and review study reports on compressor dynamic simulation, rotordynamics, thermodynamic, hydraulic, and structural resonances.• Experienced in applying international standards, specification, and codes like API, ASME, NFPA, NEC, and IEC.• International work experiences & long-term EXPAT assignments in China, Taiwan, Algeria, Canada, Italy, India.
