ABOUT MUHAMMED ADAMU BELLO

Since joining the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) in July 2007, I have been promoted five times, and I am now an Assistant Director and Head - Network Content Management Unit in the Information Technology Department. The unit is responsible for all website, portal, graphics, multimedia and web based applications development and management. I oversee the development of the unit\'s budget, identify and schedule unit capacity building programmes, set unit and individual targets and the unit annual project plan. I have undertaken numerous professional development and training programmes in leadership and management, and technical courses in telecommunications and IT, i.e. Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Web & Graphics Design and Development and Computer Forensics. I have also participated in programmes at the national and international level involving telecommunications and the Internet, including AfNOG-11/AfriNIC-12 in Kigali, Rwanda in 2010, ITU Telecom World 2012 in Dubai, UAE, ICANN56 in Helsinki, Finland in 2016 and the International PHP/JavaScript Conference in Munich and Berlin in 2017 and 2018 respectively. I am familiar with numerous programming and scripting languages, including Java, C/C++/C#, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, SQL, PHP, Python, etc. and as part of a project for the Commission, I have had the opportunity to utilize GeoJSON for geospatial analysis of QoS data. I have trained in and worked extensively with Microsoft Enterprise and Adobe Creative applications. I have also acquired the following Certifications; Certified Network Defender and Certified Ethical Hacker (EC Council), ISO/IEC Lead Implementer (PECB) and PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner (AXELOS).
