ABOUT MUHAMMAD ZESHAN
I am an assistant professor of psychiatry at Rutgers University - Newark, where I teach medical students and residents. I have a M.B,B.S. degree in medicine from Nishtar Medical University, Pakistan. I completed psychiatry residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Harvard Medical School. My core competencies include parenting, mental health, and parent and leadership coaching, advocacy, teaching, and training. Moreover, I completed Infant-Parent-Mental Health fellowship from UMASS Boston and Zero to Three (ZTT)Fellowship. I am a Certified Parenting Coach (Jai Institute) and a Maxwell Leadership Coach. I have part-time private practice where I provide psychiatric care to infants, children, and adolescents, and developed skills in evidence-based interventions, diagnosis, and treatment planning. I also contributed to multiple projects on topics such as child maltreatment, trauma, and resilience. I am passionate about improving the mental health and well-being of children and families, and I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have worked and studied in different countries and cultures.
