ABOUT MUHAMMAD QOLBU ALMARIFAH

I grew up in poverty, raised by my grandmother while my father worked as a parking attendant and my mother as a cleaning service worker. We didn’t have much, but those early struggles taught me hard work, gratitude, and persistence. In vocational high school (SMK), I was able to study thanks to KJP (Kartu Jakarta Pintar) — a scholarship for underprivileged students. That chance reminded me that even when you start with nothing, consistency and courage can change everything. During my internship (PKL), I joined the Go Entrepreneurs program, which shaped my mindset as a young founder. There, I helped develop projects like Smarteschool.id, Kantingo, Digital Literacy, GoSports, and the Industrial Class for SMKs. That’s where I learned how ideas can turn into real impact. Outside the program, I learned business through experience — joining MLMs, selling grilled meatballs, buns, and phone chargers. Later, I started an online shop selling socks, hijabs, hoodies, and shoes. By 19, I had achieved my first 1 billion rupiah in sales, which became the foundation for my next step — building TransGo.id, a car and motorcycle rental company from scratch. Today, TransGo manages over 500 vehicles across Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Bali, supported by nearly 100 team members and managing assets worth over 30 billion rupiah. Our next target: units by 2026, which would bring the total managed asset value to around 60 billion rupiah. TransGo has now evolved into an ecosystem — including TransGo Kamera (iPhone & camera rentals), TransGo Outdoor (outdoor gear), TransGo Vibes (concert trips), and TransGo Connect (Starlink rental service). We’ve also partnered with Gojek, Maka Motors, and other major rental companies. Many ride-hailing drivers now use our vehicles to support their families. For me, that’s what matters most — creating opportunities for people who, like me, started from zero. This is just the beginning — the dream keeps growing.
