ABOUT MUHAMMAD ALI

I am currently working as a Process Engineer at TCM. I have just completed my Chemical Engineering with a Year in Industry (MEng) degree at the University of Nottingham, where I achieved a First Class Honours.My final year project was related to sustainable process engineering. I worked in a group to design a 3-D printed enzymatic reactor with the intention of it being used in the production of pharmaceutical intermediates. We designed a plant to carry out biological transformations through the use of enzyme immobilisation in a 3-D printed hydrogel. I spent my fourth year out, working in the Treatment Process Engineering Team at Severn Trent Water. My placement at Severn Trent was focused on commissioning and optimising chemical dosing rigs at different sewage treatment works across the Midlands. This work was part of various capital schemes and directly impacted how efficiently and effectively we could meet environmental permits for sewage discharge into watercourses.Previous experiences include summer internships at Protolan in project management, and at Trans-Continental Marketing in quality control.I am actively working towards my IChemE chartership status and keen to achieve this in the coming years.I hold a full UK driving licence and I am also highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Visio, and AutoCAD 2D.
